Studio Cardenas, which opened in Milan in 2004, is an expanding Architectural studio that develops a great variety of issues: from public areas to poly-functional spaces, from commercial areas to those set aside for leisure, from showrooms to dwellings and general design.

The design process is always supported by a in-depth research: a constant striving directed at facing present day issues such as the use of sustainable materials and technologies as well as the development of innovative construction techniques.

The projects are all supported by the use of softwares that simulate natural light and the thermal characteristics of the building.

Ongoing projects are, inter alia, a number of modifications to the interior of the Il Sole 24 Ore Group premises, such as the Auditorium and the “Agora” meeting room, the result of a consolidated cooperation with the Renzo Piano Building Workshop studio and an experimental and innovative Microarchitecture technique using bamboo as construction material.
