All'interno della mostra evento organizzata da Interni Magazine "INTERNI DESIGN ENERGIES" per il fuorisalone 2009 viene presentata BooTech- Bamboo Eco Dome, prototipo di una cupola geodetica in bambù. Il progetto nasce in seguito ad una prima esperienza nel 2006, l’interpretazione in chiave moderna del materiale e del montaggio a secco viene ulteriormente approfondita.
Lo stesso bambù impiegato in quella occasione viene oggi riutilizzato sotto forma di stecche unite da giunti in acciaio e neoprene per creare una geometria geodesica complessa dalle notevoli proprietà statiche (la struttura può sorreggere fino a 30 volte il suo peso), di leggerezza, versatilità e modernità.
Vetri sagomati con possibile integrazione di pannelli fotovoltaici e moduli in tessuto traslucido completano la copertura; mentre la pavimentazione in terra pressata offre il peso sufficiente per sorreggere la struttura senza dover incidere sulle preesistenze.

Una nuova sperimentazione sulle potenzialità di questo materiale naturale, alla ricerca di nuovi linguaggi contemporanei.

During the exhibition event organized by Interni Magazine "INTERNI DESIGN ENERGIES" at the fuorisalone 2009, BooTech - BambooEcoDome, prototype of a geodesical bamboo dome, is presented. The project was born after the first experience in 2006. The modern interpretation of the material with easy to assemble mechanical connections was further developed.
The same bamboo used in the previous pavillion is reused today cutted into plates connected through steel and neoprene joints to create a complex geodesic geometry with amazing static properties (the structure can hold aprox 30 times its weight), lightness, versatility and modernity.
Glazed panels with possible integration of photovoltaic cells and modules of translucid textile fabrics compose the envelope; whilst rammed earth flooring offers the necessary weight to give stability to the structure without damaging the existing pavement.

A new experiment on the potentialities of this natural material, looking for new contemporary languages.
