Il progetto “S.E.E.D.” nasce dall'intenzione di progettare case ecologiche monofamiliari, che vadano a conciliarsi con la riqualificazione architettonica di quartieri degradati, inserendo nuove unità abitative sulle coperture piane di edifici residenziali esistenti, realizzati tra gli anni ’60 e ’70.

S.E.E.D. si presenterà come un elemento esterno, che andrà a posarsi sulla struttura esistente, con lo scopo di restituire ad essa un’identità architettonica e sociale.

Le unità abitative proposte sono composte da una struttura a telaio ligneo con pareti “tipo sandwich” di ultima generazione. Si tratta di strutture leggere che, installate su un’apposita pavimentazione collocata sulla copertura esistente, non comportano sovraccarichi eccessivi per l’edificio.

La copertura delle cellule abitative si posa sullo scheletro ligneo e diventa, attraverso l’inserimento di pannelli solari e fotovoltaici, l’elemento che fornirà energia, sia al sistema esistente, sia alle nuove unità. Il profilo della copertura nasce dalla silhouette della foglia razionalmente geometrizzata e consentirà la raccolta delle acque piovane, che verranno destinate in parte all’irrigazione del verde e in parte agli scarichi dei servizi igienici, dopo aver subito un adeguato trattamento chimico.

Il verde sarà utilizzato in qualità di supporto alle serre bioclimatiche, incrementando il comfort degli ambienti interni e il benessere degli spazi esterni.

Per l’isolamento termoacustico è stato scelto il “cappotto termoacustico riflettente”, prodotto innovativo della ditta SA.M.E. srl di Torgiano (Perugia), che non necessita dell'utilizzo di colle o adesivi. Si tratta di un isolante di ideazione e fabbricazione completamente italiana, prodotto a partire da materiali riciclati ed a sua volta riciclabile.

La progettazione ha tenuto conto delle diverse latitudini alle quali le unità residenziali dovranno essere inserite, proponendo dunque una soluzione specifica sia per il Nord che per il Sud Italia.

The project "S.E.E.D." was born by the intention to project ecologic houses for single family, going to reconcile with the redevelopment of slums architectural, inserting new housing units on existing flat roofs of residential buildings, built between the '60s and '70s.

S.E.E.D. will appear as an external element, which will rest on the existing structure, with the aim of returning to it architectural and social identity.

The proposed housing units are composed of a frame construction with wooden walls called "sandwich". These light structures that, installed on a dedicated floor located on the existing roof, do not involve excessive overloads for the building.

The cover of living cells rests on a wooden skeleton and becomes, through the inclusion of solar panels, the element that will provide energy to both the existing system, both new units. The profile of the cover was created by the silhouette of the leaf geometrized rationally and allow the collection of rainwater, which will be designed in part to irrigation of the green and in part by discharges from toilets, after having undergone an appropriate chemical treatment.

The green will be used as a support to the bioclimatic greenhouses, increasing the comfort of indoor and outdoor spaces welfare.

For thermal and acoustic insulation has been chosen the "acoustic reflective coat", an innovative product company SA.M.E Ltd. Torgiano (Perugia), which does not require the use of glues or adhesives. This is an insulator which is completely designed and manufactured in Italy, produced from recycled material and recyclable itself.

The design took into account the different latitudes to which the residential units must be included, thus proposing a specific solution for both the North and South Italy.
