Il progetto riguarda la trasformazione di un ex edificio industriale in complesso abitativo. La struttura esistente è rinforzata e termoisolata, al fine di soddisfare gli standard di risparmio energetico europei.La copertura essendo la superficie esposta maggiore,gioca un ruolo fondamentale nell’obiettivo del risparmio energetico, agendo come una doppia pelle che permette al suo interno il fluire dell’aria. Lo spazio centrale è un giardino che include un piccolo padiglione con servizi comuni a tutte le abitazioni, tra cui una lavanderia. La struttura metallica è stata restaurata e successivamente coperta da pannelli fotovoltaici per produrre energia utile agli ambienti comuni, mentre, per la realizzazione dei soppalchi si sono state riutilizzate delle putrelle in ferro presenti nel complesso industriale.

The project concerns the transformation of an ex industrial building in a residencial complex. The existing structure is reinforced and thermo isolated,In order to satisfy European standards. The roof being the largest exposed surface plays a fundamental role in the energy saving strategy, operating as a double skin that allows air flow in its interior. The central space is a garden with a small pavilion with common services for all housing units,as a laundry. The metallic structure has been refurbished and then covered with photovoltaic panels to produce the necessary energy for common spaces, whilst for the construction of the mezzanini existing steel beams founded in site have been reused.
