La proposta di ristrutturazione delle sede centrale della Banca BPU, un edificio storico sito nel cuore di Milano, ruota intorno all’idea centrale della corte: la corte come cuore del progetto, caratterizzata da una “pelle” contemporanea che si innesta sulla struttura storica, pensata come luogo d’incontro e come luogo verso cui tutti gli uffici possano guardare oltre che come dispositivo de controllo ambientale. Una copertura trasparente permette non solo di vedere il cielo, ma anche di raccogliere l’acqua piovana e captare la luce e la ventilazione naturale, mentre il guadagno di energia solare è garantito dall’uso del fotovoltaico in copertura.

The refurbishment proposal of the central headquarters of
Banca BPU, a historical site in the centre of Milan, rotates/revolves around the central idea of court: the court as Herat of the project characterized by a contemporaneous “skin” that inserts on the historical structure, thought as meeting place and as the place towards which all offices may look at other than the environmental control feature. A transparent roof not only allows looking at the sky, but also to collect rainwater and captivate light and natural ventilation, whilst the use of photovoltaic in the cover assures solar energy gain for non renewal energy gain for non renewal energy consumption reduction.
