08.02.2011 - First Prize in the Section Architects-Manifacturers Fondazione Mangiarotti_Innovative Construction Systems

On the 14th of December 2010, in Guido Nardi Exhibition Hall, within Politecnico di Milano, Studio Cardenas with Faraone Glass Fittings won the first prize in the section architects-manifacturers of Premio Fondazione Mangiarotti_Innovative Construction Systems with the project "Oasi Microclimate Pavilion_Integration of a natural material(bamboo) within a construction system in steel and glass".

16.12.2010 - Meeting Triennale

 

In occasione dell’uscita del numero di dicembre, con lo speciale 100% architetti under 40 la rivista Costruire in collaborazione con GiArch propone un incontro per giovedì 16 dicembre alle 17.30 presso Triennale Bovisa Milano nell’ambito del ciclo di conferenze collaterale alla mostra “Progetti di giovani architetti italiani” promossa da GiArch, Utet Scienze Tecniche e Fondazione La Triennale di Milano (aperta fino al 9 gennaio 2011). Mauricio Cardenas Laverde parteciperà all’incontro che ha per tema “Il buio oltre la laurea? Vite di progettisti e progetti di vita. Tre architetti, tre storie: percorsi di sola andata, di andata e ritorno e compagni di viaggio. Con l’Italia in sottofondo”.

 

14.12.2010 - Exhibition Mangiarotti Foundation Price_Innovative Constructive Systems

In Politecnico di Milano inside Spazio Guido Nardi, from 2nd to 14th December,there will be an exhibition of projects who participated to Premio Fondazione Mangiarotti_Innovative Construction Systems.

The architect Mauricio Cardenas Laverde will take part in the competition with two projects: ''Oasi_Microclimatic Pavilion'' and ''BooTech_Bamboo EcoDome''.

The award ceremony will be on the 14th of December at 3 p.m.

02.12.2010 - Young Italian Architects Exhibition

On the 2nd of December 2010, h 6.30 pm, at Triennale Milano  Bovisa, Young Italian Architects Exhibition will be inaugurated. During the event, the new editorial line will be presented too. Mauricio Cardenas Laverde will take part in the exhibition with BooTech Bamboo EcoDome project. The exhibition will be open from December 3rd to January 9th.

25.10.2010 - Presentation of Culture_Nature at Politecnico di Milano

On the 25th of October, h 11.15 am, at Politecnico di Milano, Aula Rogers, in via Bonardi 3, Mauricio Cardenas will participate in the presentation of Culture_Nature, a side-event of the 12th Mostra Internazionale della Biennale di Architettura di Venezia, organized at Spazio Thetis in the Arsenale Novissimo.

Architecture, landscape, agricolture, energies,art, cinema will be the main characters of this event,extended to debates, conferences and  meetings.

21.10.2010 - Conference Norwegian Wood

On the 23rd of October Mauricio Cardenas will take part in the conference "Norwegian Wood" in Ferrara Fiere e Congressi from 10 am to 8 pm about the new building scenarios: Wood in Architecture. His speech will focus on the use of bamboo in buildings and will introduce to the potentialities of this natural material named as "Vegetal Steel". The conference is organized by Agaf -Associazione Giovani Architetti della provincia di Ferrara.

12.10.2010 - Da Nido a Guscio, the BambooGreenWall at SUN of Rimini

A 25 meters long BambooGreenWall which was projected by Mauricio Cardenas will be exposed from October 14th to 16th 2010, in SUN Rimini, 28th International External Design Fair, Projects, Furniture, Accessories.The BambooGreenWall is part of the exhibition space as the trial concept of an innovative construction system, which uses bamboo as modular raw material, low cost and low impact. The project for the exhibition "Da Nido a Guscio" consists of two main base grounds. The first consists of Guadua Angustifolia bamboo culms 10-12 cm in diameter, 6 m high, making possible to appreciate the material in its natural state, with slender and straight stems profile.

The new collection Il Ferrone / Il Palagio created by Mauricio Cardenas is born from history, technology and nature elements already present in the material itself but for the first time expressed in new forms and finishes. The result is a series of harmonious modular products that can offer highest aesthetic and functional quality to nowadays spaces. The new formats take up the Florence proportions of the most beautiful Art and Architecture of the Renaissance works; the Golden Section or ''Divine Proportion''. Through new formats application, with proportions that are given in nature and in the human fıgure, there are countless possible configurations. The collection leaves room for imagination and creativity of those who appreciate the absolute beauty.

La nuova collezione Il Ferrone / Il Palagio creata da Mauricio Cardenas nasce dall'incontro tra storia, tecnologia e natura elementi già presenti nel materiale stesso ma per la prima volta espressi in nuove forme e finiture. Il risultato è una serie di prodotti armoniosamente componibili che possano offrire agli spazi di oggi la più alta qualità estetica e funzionale. I nuovi formati riprendono le proporzioni con le quali nascevano a Firenze le più belle opere di Arte e di Architettura del Rinascimento; la Sezione Aurea o "Divina Proporzione". Attraverso l'applicazione dei nuovi formati, con le proporzioni che troviamo riportate in natura e anche nella figura dell'uomo, sono possibili infinite configurazioni. La collezione lascia spazio all'immaginazione e creativita' di chi apprezza il bello assoluto. 

 

 

25.09.2010 - Mauricio Cardenas guest at Think Tawn Terni

From the 23rd of September to the 3rd of October 2010 there will be TerniFestival in Terni. Mauricio Cardenas has been invited to take part in the meeting on the 25th of September starting at 3 p.m. The program consists of three sections including actions, interventions, visions and frequent distribution in the urban area, responding to the necessity of: making visible to the city a reflection distributed throughout the year and that will be explicit in these ten days, with simultaneous actions, condensed, that intercept to different targets and bring together different ways, through eyes that stimulate international comparisons on the issues of the city.
