''Bamboo'' book edited by Alex Sanchez Vidiella and published by Loftpublications from Barcelona contains the preface by Mauricio Cardenas. It also includes three projects developed by Studio Cardenas referred to an innovative use of this fascinating natural material.

29.10.2011 - mission in China ''Italia degli Innovatori''
A sustainable constructive system developed by Maurico Cardenas has been selected by "Agenzia per la Diffusione delle Tecnologie per l'innovazione" which will be part of the mission ''Italia degli Innovatori'' that will take place in China from 29th October to 5th November 2011.The program takes part in the context of the meeting between Italian Minister for Public Administration and Innovation Renato Brunetta and the Chinese Minister of Science and Technology Wang Gang, with the aim of promoting cooperation on innovation between the two countries and to promote technology transfer and the creation of partnerships on innovation.

Un sistema costruttivo sostenibile sviluppato da Mauricio Cardenas è stato selezionato dall'Agenzia per la Diffusione delle Tecnologie per l'innovazione che fara' parte della missione "Italia degli Innovatori" che avrà luogo in Cina dal 29 ottobre al 5 Novembre 2011.Il programma si inserisce nel contesto dell'incontro di Stato tra il Ministro per la Pubblica Amministrazione e l'Innovazione Renato Brunetta e il Ministro della Scienza e Tecnologia Cinese Wang Gang con l'obbiettivo di favorire la cooperazione sull'innovazione tra i due paesi e di promuovere il trasferimento tecnologico e la creazione di partnership su i temi dell'innovazione.

During the workshop ''Sustainable Methods and Materials'' in the context of the exhibition ''AAA+A'' in MADE Expo Mauricio Cardenas discussed about the use of the natural materials in architecture through the works of his practice.The speeches took place in collaboration with the architect and designer Giulio Ceppi and the designer Carmelo Di Bartolo.

Durante il workshop ''Metodi e Materiali Sostenibili'' sostenuto durante la mostra ''AAA+A'' presso il MADE Expo Mauricio Cardenas ha introdotto il tema dell'utilizzo dei materiali naturali in architettura attraverso il lavoro del suo studio.Il workshop si e' svolto insieme all'architetto e il designer Giulio Ceppi e dall'industrial designer Carmelo Di Bartolo.

24.06.2011 - Publication of the new edition of the ''Schematic Design'' Gruppo 24 Ore - Arketipo
Four new projects developed from Studio Càrdenas have been added, in june 2011, inside Arketipo's monography, edited by "Gruppo 24 ore", in which the authors Marco Imperadori and Alfonso Senatore show, in a contemporary way, techniques and examples regarding how to communicate the project.

Quattro nuovi progetti curati dallo Studio Càrdenas sono stati inseriti, nel giugno del 2011, all'interno della monografia di Arketipo, edito dal "Gruppo 24 ore", in cui gli autori Marco Imperadori e Alfonso Senatore espongono in chiave attuale tecniche ed esempi di comunicazione del progetto.
28.05.2011 - Green Festival in Monza (Green street)
The Festival of Gardens will be held in Boschetti della Villa Reale in Monza, from thursday 26th to sunday 29th May, from 11.00 to 19.00.The initiative will recognize the value of horticultural district, through the presentation of installations and ephemeral gardens to represent the new concept of contemporary garden.The architect Mauricio Cardenas attended by the project "Bamboo Garden Block".

28.05.2011 - Festival del verde di Monza
Il festival dei Giardini avra' luogo nei Boschetti della Villa Reale a Monza, da giovedi 26 a domenica 29 maggio con orario continuato dalle 11.00 alle 19.00.L'iniziativa metterà in luce e valorizzerà il distretto floravivaistico nel suo insieme, attraverso la presentazione di installazioni e giardini effimeri a rappresentare un nouvo concetto di giardino contemporaneo.L'architetto Mauricio Cardenas partecipa il progetto di "Bamboo Block Garden".

Mauricio Cardenas proposed ''Message in the Bottle'' for the architectural festival ''Festarch - lab 2011'' which took place in Terni from the 26th May to the June 1st held by the design magazine ''Abitare''.The project suggests an alternative solution and a potential reuse of plastic bottles: the prototype of house.

Mauricio Cardenas ha proposto il progetto ''Messaggio nella Bottiglia'' nell'ambito della manifestazione ''Festarch - lab 2011'' patrocinata dalla rivista ''Abitare'', svoltasi a Terni dal 26 maggio al 1° giugno.Il progetto suggerisce soluzioni alternative e potenziali riusi delle bottiglie di plastica: il prototipo di un casa.

06.04.2011 - III edition of the event Arte Accessibile
In the exhibition AAM, Studio Cardenas, with a mock-up of building system of bamboo and steel, compares Art and Technology.
The work, entitled Techne', describes the encounter between these two disciplines considered inseparable in greek word.

All'interno della mostra AAM, lo Studio Cardenas, attraverso un mock-up del sistema costruttivo in bambu' e acciaio, mette a confronto Arte e Tecnica.
L'opera, intitolata Techne', descrive l'incontro tra queste due discipline considerate inscindibili nel termine greco.

05.04.2011 - Static tests on stiffening brackets bamboo beams
During the month of March were made the static tests on stiffening brackets bamboo beams created for the Studio Cardenas's projects Think Green and 8 portali a Milano.
The tests were held at the Laboratory of Structures in the Faculty of Architecture-Construction-Engineering at Politecnico of Milan, in the campus Promessi Sposi of regional pole of Lecco.
The tests were made by the students Marco Invernici, Alberto Paolo Sicuso, Dan Vavassori as part of their thesis, under the guidance of prof. Matteo Colombo and eng. Giulio Zani, which supervisor is prof. Marco Imperadori.
